On September 8, 2022, Rathje Woodward LLC proudly sponsored the Fourth Annual Polish American Police Association (PAPA) Golf Outing held at Carriage Green Country Club. Portions of the proceeds from the outing will help fund the organization’s scholarship fund, which supports academically gifted children of first responders as they pursue their educational dreams. Other portions of the proceeds will support PAPA’s mission of providing support to members of the law enforcement community and public through philanthropic endeavors.
Daniel J. Szczesny, RW attorney and current Communications Director for PAPA, attended the event on behalf of the firm. Daniel emceed the dinner reception and recognized fellow ethnic law enforcement groups and labor units who supported the outing. One of those organizations, the Polish Police Association of Philadelphia (PPAP), traveled over 750 miles to participate! Ray Stackhouse has attended every year since the outing’s inception.

The Polish American Police Association of Chicago and Illinois (PAPA) is a social and fraternal organization, founded in 1964. PAPA is also one of the largest ethnic law enforcement organizations in the Chicago Metropolitan area. They also provide financial and logistical support for various social service and professional organizations that provide services to the immigrant and Polish-American community. During Dan’s service in the Police Department, he became Secretary, and then President, of his FOP Lodge. As a union president, Dan spearheaded contract negotiations and labor/management relations on behalf of his fellow union members.
