The rating service Super Lawyers releases an annual list of Super Lawyers and Rising Stars for each state, based on independent research and an evaluation by a peer panel. Attorneys are eligible for Rising Stars if they are age 40 or younger or have been practicing law for 10 years or less.
Tim Elliott was named as a Super Lawyer for the sixth consecutive year. He was previously recognized as a Rising Star from 2008 to 2011. He was recognized as one of Illinois’ Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 in 2011.
Elliott concentrates his practice on commercial litigation, and previously served for two years as outside general counsel for the College of DuPage. Elliott currently serves as an elected member of the DuPage County Board.
Shupe was named as a Rising Star for the fifth consecutive year. She concentrates her practice on commercial litigation, trade secret disputes, and employment law.
Elliott and Shupe were members of a legal team that recently prevailed in a trade secret action in which the plaintiff sought $90 million in damages for trade secret misappropriation. After a seven-day trial in December 2017, a federal court jury delivered a full defense verdict in favor of their client.
